Who is responsible for your data
Window of Opportunity organises free live music sessions at a window on Kerkstraat in Amsterdam. The organiser is [legal entity name to confirm], [address to confirm], [Chamber of Commerce / KvK number to confirm]. You can reach us at windowofopportunity.amsterdam@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Artist applications: your name, artist or band name, email address, links to your music or social profiles, a short bio and what you would play.
- Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you write to us, for example about tipping an artist, sponsoring a session or joining our session mailing list.
- Recordings: audio and video of the performance, which may also include people who are in the street at the time.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website, and we do not track you across other sites. If that changes we will ask for your consent first.
Why we use it
- To review your application and reply to you.
- To organise and promote sessions, including publishing session films.
- To answer enquiries about donations, sponsorship and partnerships.
- To send session announcements, if you asked us to.
We rely on your consent for publishing recordings and for sending you announcements, and on our legitimate interest in running the project for handling applications and enquiries. [Lawful basis to be confirmed by counsel.]
Filming and publishing
Sessions take place in a public street and are filmed. Performing artists are asked to agree to being filmed and published before their session. Members of the public may appear in the background of a recording. If you appear in a session film and would like your image removed or blurred, email us and we will do our best to accommodate the request.
Who else sees your data
We use service providers to run this website, store application data and send email on our behalf. They process data on our instructions only. Session films are published on platforms such as Instagram and YouTube, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Applications are kept for up to [retention period to confirm] so we can consider artists for future sessions. Published recordings remain online for as long as the project runs, unless we agree otherwise with the artist.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
